Tucked away in the heart of Salvador, Solar do Carmo Suites & Apartments feels like a hidden gem that perfectly balances charm with convenience. I loved the breathtaking views of Todos os Anjos Bay from our balcony-nothing like sipping a cup of Brazilian coffee while soaking in the colorful skyline in the morning light. The breakfast spread was a definite highlight, with freshly baked pastries and made-to-order omelettes that the kids couldn't get enough of! Flavia, the owner's wife, was a true delight, going above and beyond to ensure our family's needs were met. It was clear she had a passion for sharing Salvador's local culture with us, pointing out must-visit spots just a short stroll from the hotel. While some aspects of the surrounding area raised eyebrows-in terms of safety-rest assured you're just a quick Uber ride from the more tourist-friendly parts of the city. The rooms may be minimalistic, but cleanliness isn't compromised, and with our self-catering unit, it was nice to be able to prepare snacks for our little adventures during the day. For a family-oriented escape, Solar do Carmo is a cozy, welcoming oasis that left our hearts full and memories cherished.
